Siglensal Boerboels is a small kennel, comprised of athletic, healthy Boerboels, who all have the same undeniably stable temperament, with exceptional characters; they have the true South African family dog temperament, are great friends and companions as well as protectors - but only if needed.

Since seeing a picture in a Dutch magazine of a breed of dog that was unknown to me, I have been completely enthralled by South Africa's Mastiff – the Boerboel.

This sparked the desire to learn more about this gentle giant and to get to know him in his own environment - South Africa, before deciding whether or not to purchase one.

It was in November of 1997 that I travelled to South Africa for the first time to learn more about the breed. Since then I travel at least once a year to this wonderful country to attend various Boerboel studbook meetings. These visits to the Boerboels country of origin have given me the chance to broaden my knowledge of the breed, to meet breeders, many of whom have become close friends, as well as having given me the chance to become the first European to obtain the SABT breeders diploma back in 1998. (Further development in this breed promted me to attend a second breeders course in 2001).

Our puppies are well-socialised, accustomed to car travel, walking on the lead as well as being introduced to various breeds of dogs in our boerding kennels before leaving us for their new homes.

It goes without saying; that every Siglensal pup is registered, micro-chipped, correctly de-wormed, vaccinated & given a clean bill of health by specialist vets, as well as carrying our guarantee.
